The Full Faction Challenge continues as we play at the 25pt level with Jeremiah Kraye vs. Servath Reznik. Tom also uses the Scourge of Heresy which is his first character model to get used in this campaign.
For the first time in two years we are playing against the Trollbloods! And, for the first time ever we are playing against another member of the Privater Press "Press Gang." A simple 15pt Mangled Metal (Claw and Fang) game. Enjoy!
This video is a simulation of the "Hordes Demo" experience that you might have at a gaming convention or a friendly-local-game store. In this video we cover what's needed to play the game, an explanation of the stat cards, a Starer-Box Battle Report, and we go over things that weren't covered during the batrep portion of the video.
In this installment of the Miniature Minute we take a look at one of my favorite non-character solos in the game of Warmachine: Cygnar's Stormsmith Stormcaller. Why is it my favorite, and what use it to a non-Warmachine player? Watch this video and find out.
A recent adventure at our local annual Anime Convention here in Bakersfield, Ca. I mostly spend the day running Warmachine demos in the Gaming Room, but when I wasn't doing that I checked out the rest of the convention. We interviewed doll maker and fashion designer Miss Carlyfornia Love, professional cosplayer Ivy Doomkitty, and we got a demonstration of Dragon Song Forge's Samurai Swords. We also enjoyed the cosplay fashion show where local anime fans dressed up as their favorite genre characters.
At the 2011 SoCal Smackdown I caught up with Tony Kenealy of Aberrant Games, and we talked more about the game Warlands. A post-apocalyptic miniature wargame inspired by movies such as Mad Max, Warriors of the Wasteland and countless others.
A few week ago I was a guest on DemonJestorJ's "FIve Questions To A Model Maker" and we talked about the wargaming hobby amongst other things. And for some reason I forgot to post it here on the blog. So, here it is on the blog:
BOOM!! It is a throw down between Cygnar and Khador as an army of mainly Precursor Knights and Stormblades take on Man-O-Wars and Winter Guard. Who will win this battle? Watch and find out! FROM SEPTEMBER OF 2011
Recently I played a 15pt Mangled Metal/Tooh N' Claw game where I got the silly idea of takeing Morvahna the Autumblade as my warlock. Which meant that my feat and half of my spells simply would not work:
And, well.. this went as expected:
What I didn't expect was for this to be a close game where I might have won had I not failed a charge by less than 1/16ths of an inch.
BTW: The basehugger in the first pic says, "force evolution" on it because I was feeling too lazy to erase and re-wright the spell that was actually in effect. Lazy feeling also factor in with the use of Warcogs as well.
A New Show For SteamPowereedTV where we take a quick look at a single model or unit for the games Warmachine and Hordes (or what ever else we feel like looking at). And, in this episode we have a look at Eiryss, The Angel of Retribution - which was the first non-Warcaster/Warlock to go epic. But, what do I think of her?
The most important of the two halves of this one project, and I would say that if you going to just watch only one part it would be this one. This is where we get hot and heavy into combat, we use our feats, and we get of a couple power attacks.
I've been re-encoding and touching up past installments of SteamPoweredTV so that they'd be compatible with the new BLIP.TV app, and here we have my video from 2011 on how to play Warmachine. I should also note that a video on getting into Hordes is also in the works.
